Well, I finally got a Writing Circle up and running in my hometown of Blackburn. As I state on the previous page I started this web page to help writers who could not get to a Circle meeting. It took me a while to find the right location and I think I have found it.
I still believe in the Alternative Writing Circle but this is another opportunity for writers to get their work looked at.
Our Circle meets the last Tuesday of the month at St Marks Conservative Club on Preston Old Road, Blackburn.
We have a membership of around twelve which is a good number. We cover most genre including novels, poetry and short stories. One of our members is based in New Zealand. So please join even if you live at a distance. We charge £1.00 a meeting and this is to cover the cost of the room.
I am trying to get a grant from Barclays Help The Aged of £150.00. This will help us to get trophies and prizes towards an internal short story competition.
